So I was doing some fishing the other day and I realized that Hunters get pretty cool mobs to make their own and they can name they're pet. So I was thinking what if Blizz made it possible to change certain attributes of your ghoul by raising it in different graveyards. Something simple like changing the name it gets. It could be risen with a name like "Scarlet Champion" if its risen in the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard. A graveyard near an Orc stronghold will give you a ghoul (the same graphic) with an orc-esque name such as Hellscream or Doomhammer(although I doubt you'd see that!)
If you died and made a new ghoul, it would keep the same name. If you res a name-specific ghoul it would keep its name until you replaced it by buying an item to remove it and get a "new" ghoul. Or something.
Its a simple idea that wouldn't affect gameplay but would certainly add a lot of flavor to the game!
What do you guys think?
Hunters are attached to there pets. They tame them, and train them. It is like a pet irl. DKs just rip a dead body from the ground and use it as a temporary tool to either deal dmg or sacrifice for health. Why would we want to take the time to get to know our ghouls if it is just fodder that can be replaced in 3 minutes...
We wouldn't be getting to know them, that's why you don't have to train them. Its just to add flavor to the ghoul you are pulling out of the ground. And like I said, it would keep the name.
