[:1]Just a quick comparison:
(Now) Frost Presence- Strengthens you with the presence of Frost, increasing damage by 10% and increasing Runic Power generation by 10%. Only one Presence may be active at a time, and assuming a new Presence will consume any stored Runic Power
Buffed- Increases your bonus damage while in Frost Presence by an additional 5%. In addition, while in Blood Presence or Unholy Presence, you retain 4% increased Runic Power generation from Frost Presence
(MoP) Frost Presence- Strengthens you with the presence of Frost, increasing Runic Power generation by 100% and increasing your maximum Runic Power by 30.
Note: There is no "Improved Frost Presence" for Frost Spec (or an Improved Unholy either).So with these changes, anyone else feel like Fost Presence just went naked without the dmg bonus? Sure the 100% Runic Power is great but we still have no decrease in GCD (idk, .25 would be great), but most of all, they're taking away the dmg buff from it? Why would you do that Blizzard? Can't you add even 5% dmg (2% even) bonus so it doesn't seem so naked? Just add something to make an "improved frost presence" so we can go back to it and not Unholy Presence since that hasn't changed at all. So Blizard, please fix this for all that are frosty and chilled..
Cata != MoP.
They're revamping the entire talent system. You have two options :
1. Assume every second change made is a nerf and post about it on the forums.
2. Wait until closer to release, get some hard numbers to crunch and make calculated assumptions on our performance after the change are made.
PS: No, I don't feel like Frost Presence in it's new form is 'naked'. A glyph has been introduced to retain half of our RP when switching presences. Seems to me like they want us to switch presence on a situational basis, which sounds cool.
Frost presence won't be "naked". The +100% RP generation will be required and will be the primary effect of frost presence. No Chill to the Grave and far lower haste values won't allow you to function properly in unholy presence.
